BIG DADDY Max!
Big Daddy came to our shelter with extensive trauma to his face, eye and inside his mouth. He was found wandering on the side of the road, unable to see and barely able to hold up his head. At first, we were unsure if we would be able to treat his injuries as they seemed too great to overcome. Through all of the poking and prodding we had to do to determine the extent of his injuries, he never once complained or resisted the treatment, instead he just quietly let us work on trying to make him well. Persistence by our shelter staff and Veterinarian have allowed us to repair most of the damage, but unfortunately during the course of his care we discovered that he is now blind due to his injuries and we are still uncertain if, over time, he will ever regain his eyesight. “Big Daddy” as he’s known to all of us is still just as worthy as every other animal that passes through our doors in the hope of finding their forever home. We hope that you too will consider him for adoption! 'Big Daddy' Max is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

GREAT NEWS!
Tyra, the dog at the SPCA who I've been facebooking, blogging and hounding family and friends about, is SOOOOO close to her forever home. I found out that someone put in an adoption request for her! Such amazing news.
Now there is a new female Amstaff at the SPCA who needs a forever home. Her name is Angel and she's lovely, I met her today, we went for a walk, and now, we need to find her a home. She has a pretty sad story and if you want to know about, you'll need to go to the SPCA to find out about what led to her arriving at the SPCA. She's smart....I was walking with her and after one or two little corrections, she was walking along beside me like a pro! she has a cute little walk too, her front paws sort or point away from each other, too cute to see!

She is house broken and has had a litter of pups. She's all by herself now and is about a year old. she is house trained and I found out today that she can sit on command. She'd be an amazing dog for someone who had the time to work with her, she just wants to please and is truly sweet.
If you are thinking about getting a pet, please see what the SPCA has to offer, and if you don't find the furry love of your life on your first visit, check back often, they get animals all the time. The Staff and volunteers are always there to help you out. They answered a few questions I had about Lucy who I adopted from the SPCA. They remembered I adopted her and wanted to know how she was. When I said spoiled rotten, I think I saw the woman I was talking to tear up a bit. These people truly do care about the animals the receive and want nothing more than for them to be adopted to responsible, and loving people.

Inspiration for Jordan Knight & Mel B
So.....looks like Jordan Knight and I will learn to snowboard this winter. If you see us on the hill at Wentworth, please be kind....
Jordan and I went to Cleaves tonight to get all of our equipment, board, boots, suits, helmets, gloves, goggles, the whole thing. By the questions we asked Matt who was very patient and answered all of our questions, well, he could tell we have no idea what we are getting ourselves into. We are apprehensive, neither of us have ever done this before, but you have to challenge yourself sometimes and learn something new. This opportunity with The BOUNCE Snow Patrol is too good pass up.
Inspiration, that's what we need, so over to youtube I go and I found a few videos, some on how to snowboard, and others that are profiling pro teams, like the DC team..
And because Jordan and I like to support our fellow females....here's a vid of female snowboarders. Remember Jordan, they started like us at some point. Might have been when they were 5 but they did at somepoint have no idea what they were doing!
