Halifax District Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are advising the public of street closures and anticipated traffic delays in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia this weekend.
On Saturday, September 10, 2011, Forest Hills Parkway will be closed between 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. for the Cole Harbour Harvest Festival parade. The parade is expected to run for approximately one hour. The route starts at Colby Drive and Cumberland Drive and ends at Auburn Drive and Forest Hills Parkway. Following the parade, family activities and celebrations will take place for the remainder of the day at Cole Harbour Place. The organizing committee expects crowds of up to 5,000 people to line the parade route.
During the parade, the following streets will be impacted by the Cumberland Drive/Forest Hills Parkway parade route:
Cole Harbour Road
Circassion Drive
Merrimac Drive
Flying Cloud Drive
Chameau Crescent
Auburn Drive
