So, Big Books for the last 12 Months.

If you have an avid reader on your Gift Giving list this year, I have a site for you to check out. I joined it a couple of months ago, and its a great way to get your next read ideas. All you need to do is find out what their book preference is. Is it Romance, biography, mystery, sci-fi, or one of the millions of other options. All you do is head over to

www.goodreads.com

You can search by genre and when you do, book shelves filled with books of that genre pop up. It's information over load the first couple of times you visit, but give it a chance. The books are reviewed by readers, and not based on sales, or other propaganda. Get a few titles and see what the availability is at the Book Store. really it's that easy. I know, giving books as a gift is risky what if they've already read the book?? easy, bring it up in conversation. As for their opinion and if they haven't read it, then Bobs your uncle, you have a gift.

Obviously the Millennium series by Stieg Larsson is BEYOND popular, and thanks to True Book, the Sookie Stackhouse series (True Blood is based on the books) by Charlaine Harris is super popular too.

You can click on this link http://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/2010 and it will tell you how many times a book has been "Shelved" which means the number of times someone earmarked by people on the site. It's a good resource for your book giving research.

Happy Reading & Gift giving!
