Halifax Regional Police say that two women who were taken into custody for questioning after a shooting outside a high school have been released without charges.
Multiple shots rang out Monday afternoon as students were leaving Citadel High School for the day, but no one was hurt.
Cont. Brian Palmeter says police continue to search for a male suspect in connection with the incident.
He said there is no indication that the male has a connection to the school.
Palmeter says officers are also hoping to track down and speak to the intended target of the shooting, who's believed to be a student.
He says there are extra officers at Citadel High today as a precaution, but there's no indication of a threat to students or staff.
