She's Just being Miley
I saw the headline...MORE RACY PICTURES OF MILEY Then I saw the Photos...
I thought to myself, I said self....those don't seem all that racy. They looks like a great looking girl out having a blasty blast. Now Im not going to get all Chris Crocker on ya, but cut Miley some slack. Clearly she has dumb friends who take pictures and videos and leak them to the press and celeb blogs. I say Miley get new Friends, and the rest she'll figure out on her own.

Charlaine Harris is back in may with the Next Sookie Stackhouse Book.
Okay, it's no secret I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the Sookie Stackhouse books and absolutely enjoy True Blood on HBO. It's Campy and all things great.
The only problem I have is that I want to go from one book right into the next, and usually there is A LOT of time between the release dates. Charlaine Harris does need time to a) Write the book b) edit the book c) get it past the editors d) have the book go into production e) get it shipped. I think she should write a book and email straight to my inbox. HAHA, now like HBO has marketed True Blood and waiting for the next season, waiting SUCKS! But, if you are obsessed like I am, go here http://charlaineharris.com/DeadReck_1.html
It's the first chapter of Dead Reckoning. AMAZING!
Look for Dead Reckoning in May 2011.

Last minute Christmas gift: With ElsePage.com, you can buy and gift someone else a website - Press Release Distribution - PR NewsChannel
So basically it breaks down like this, you can buy a website, complete with domain name and design, and on the date of your choice, it's delivered to their email complete with wrapping paper and bows. Perhaps a wedding is coming in 2011, a baby? a small business that a friend or family member has that need online presence. Only thing is, it's good for a year, so....really....it could be a gift for the next 10 years.

A Total eclipse of the hear......errr Moon!
From Yahoo.ca
..LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Weather permitting, sky gazers in North and Central America and a tiny sliver of South America will boast the best seats to this year's only total eclipse of the moon just days before Christmas.
The eclipse will happen Monday night on the West Coast and during the wee hours Tuesday on the East Coast. Western Europe will only see the start of the spectacle while western Asia will catch the tail end.
The moon is normally illuminated by the sun. During a total lunar eclipse, the full moon passes through the shadow created by the Earth blocking the sun's light. Some indirect sunlight will still manage to pierce through and give the moon a ghostly colour.
Since the eclipse coincides with winter solstice, the moon will appear high in the sky — a boon for skywatchers. With recent volcanic eruptions around the globe dumping tons of dust into the atmosphere, scientists predict the moon may appear darker than usual during the eclipse, glowing an eerie red or brown instead of the usual orange-yellow tinge.
North and Central America should be able to view the entire show, which is expected to last 3½ hours if skies are clear. Total eclipse begins at 11:41 p.m. PST Monday or 2:41 a.m. EST (0741 GMT) Tuesday. The totality phase — when the moon is entirely inside Earth's shadow — will last a little over an hour.
"It's perfectly placed so that all of North America can see it," said eclipse expert Fred Espenak of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.
The Griffith Observatory perched on the south slope of Mount Hollywood in Los Angeles will host an eclipse party Monday evening although rain is forecast. Telescopes will be set out on the lawn for the public and astronomers will give free lectures on the eclipse's various stages.
If clouds or rain set in, the observatory plans to stream live video of the eclipse from the Internet. Among the various outfits that will show the eclipse live is NASA, which has a camera mounted at its Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
"Our event will go on rain or shine," said Griffith Observatory astronomer Anthony Cook.
Unlike solar eclipses which require protective glasses, lunar eclipses are safe to watch with the naked eye.
U.S. Naval Observatory spokesman Geoff Chester finds solar eclipses more exciting than the lunar counterpart. But solar eclipses tend to occur in remote parts of the world while lunar eclipses are usually visible from an entire hemisphere.
"If you get skunked by bad weather, all you have to do is wait a few years for the next one to come around," Chester said.
There will be two total lunar eclipses in 2011 — in June and December. North America will miss the June show and witness only a part of next December's eclipse.

So, Mike Vick wants a Dog
Frankie Hollywood and Ana The Morning BOUNCE, were talking about Mike Vick and the fact that he wants a dog. And I remembered this book, The Lost Dogs Michael Vick's Dogs and the Rescue and redemption. Regardless of how you feel about Vick, this book would be a great gift for someone on your Gift List who is an animal Lover. You don't even have to be a dog lover to read this book.
http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Dogs-Michael-Rescue-Redemption/dp/1592405509
Click that link to go directly to the book.
*******UPDATE*********
I've put my money where my Dog loving heart is, I bought the book last night, struggled to get through the Introduction. But I did, Im at chapter 11 I believe. I know what I think of Mr. Vick, however Momma always said if you can't say something nice, keep y'er trap shut.
100% people should read this book to understand Dogfighting rings, and learn how to spot them, and learn what to do about them.
Out of bad situations there is usually something good that comes out it. And that was the case here. Two of the Vick Dogs died in custody (no one knows why though there are plenty of rumours) and two were put down, they were psychologically broken from Over breeding. The rest, survived. New Laws have been passed to protect the dogs found in these situations. Also, it wasn't just pit bulls that were involved, beagles were also among the rescued. Read this book. Put it on your to read list for 20-11.
Im not saying or implying that you will feel the way I do about people involved. I just believe that public awareness of Dogfighting is the best form of defence. Does it happen here, it's 100% possible, but someone needs to step up and blow the whistle to stop it if they know about it.

9 words women use when they are pushed into the "RED ZONE"
Found on www.allwomenstalk.com
By Mary Michelle Payumo
Women are often misunderstood by men. That’s why men should know the words used by women to warn them about arguments they can avoid if they remember the terminologies..
Here are the top 9 words women often use to hide their feelings:
#1. “Fine”
This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
#2. “Five Minutes”
If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
#3. “Nothing”
This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
#4. “Go Ahead”
This is a dare, not permission. Don’t do it.
#5. “Loud Sigh”
This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)
#6. “That’s Okay”
This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
#7. “Thanks”
A woman is thanking you, do not question or faint. Just say “you’re welcome”. (I want to add in a clause here – this is true, unless she says “Thanks a lot” – that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say “you’re welcome” … that will bring on ‘whatever’).
#8. “Whatever”
Is a women’s way of saying F-YOU!
#9. “Don’t worry about it, I’ve got it”
Another dangerous statement, meaning you knew it had to be done but you were lazy to do it and had to wait till i came home to do it. Men should automatically know it has to be done, also, this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘what’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to #3.

I know I use them.
Absolutly no EXCUSES!
HRP Impaired Driving Statistics for November
In November, citizens and Halifax Regional Police joined forces to continue the fight against drinking and driving.
Throughout the month, police charged 51 people - 42 men and nine women with impaired driving. Of these incidents, 24 were initiated by police during traffic stops and check points, ten were identified after a collision had occurred and 17 were called-in by concerned citizens. Officers issued an additional four 7-day suspensions to people having a blood alcohol level between 50-80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood (mg%).
Of the 51 cases, 14 involved blood alcohol levels that were at least twice the legal limit, ten involved drivers who refused to provide a breath sample and three involved people who were impaired by drugs.
Driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs puts everyone in danger. In December 2009, MADD Canada and the Province of Nova Scotia launched Campaign 911 which encourages people to call police with information on suspected impaired drivers. Halifax Regional Police continues to be encouraged by the number of citizens helping to play a role in community safety. If you have information on a drunk driver, please call 911.
Do us all a favour, if you have been drinking call someone else to drive you. There are tonns of options out there and no excuses anymore for people who drink and drive. You are putting yourself and tonns of other people at risk.
Kali O'Dell. If you don't know who she is you need to go to madd.ca, no actually here no need to click anywhere else,
Over the holiday season use the Operation Rednose Service, www.ibc.ca to book your drive home.
Driving under the influence is so avoidable, so avoid it.

The Girl Who Loved These Books!!
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (original title in Swedish: Män som hatar kvinnor – "Men Who Hate Women") is an award-winning crime novel by Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson, the first in his Millennium Trilogy.
At his death in November 2004, Larsson left three unpublished novels that made up the trilogy. It became a posthumous best-seller in several European countries as well as in the United States. Larsson, who was disgusted by sexual violence, witnessed the gang rape of a young girl when he was 15. He never forgave himself for failing to help the girl, whose name was Lisbeth - like the young heroine of his books, herself a rape victim, which inspired the theme of sexual violence against women in his books. ****From Wikipedia
Movie adaptations of book happen WAY more often than we realize! And Im am both excited and concerned for the Hollywood adaptation of this series. Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara with play Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander. Though I like both actors my eyebrows are a little raised. First, Though I don't believe Blomkvist is supposed to unattractive, Im concerned that Craig is too attractive (I believe that the European movies nailed is appearance), but then again that's Hollywood. It could be interesting. If you hunt around online you can find photos of Rooney as Lisbeth.
All three movies have already been produced, and Im excited to say I am watching The first one (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) tonight. I have already read the three books, and have to admit to staying up until the wee hours of the morning reading. Book 1 amazing book 2 amazing, book three I still haven't decided. It almost got to the point where I didn't want to read the books, because I knew it would be hours until I could put the book down and I just didn't want the book to end while at the same time DYING to know what was happening next.
Here is the Original trailer:
Interesting no??
Of course if you hate waiting for the next movie in a series.... The Girl Who Played With Fire
And number three...The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest
Amazing right?!
As always I 100% STRONGLY encourage you to read the books, but from everything I have read and watched online the European films wont disappoint, which is great news for those of us who root for Lisbeth!
Here is something extra for you

Here is a little piece of info, I Strongly Dislike getting up in the morning. My former roommates will tell you that, my parents will tell you that, and my hubby will tell you that too. Though Im am a "dog" person, this kitty, accurately shows my morning struggle. And to those I have passionately expressed myself to in the mornings, I never mean it, it's the morning that's allllllll. Swearsies.

To dream one of the Top 5 most common dreams is to dream of....
Found on Yahoo.ca
“The dream shows the inner truth and reality of the patient as it really is . . . not as he would like it to be, but as it is.” wrote Carl Jung in 1933. Since then, the meanings of our nocturnal adventures have remained a puzzle for psychologists and laymen alike.
The Mark News has chosen five common dreams and, with help from Jungian analyst Christina Becker, unearthed their meanings.
5) Missing First Day of School
You've got an important appointment, but due to circumstances beyond your control you're not going to make it. Panic and confusion set in. This dream suggests you’re feeling disconnected from yourself, says Becker. You're distracted, not in the here and now. That's why you can't seem to find what you're looking for, including that pesky chemistry lab.
4) Teeth Falling Out
Ever had the dream where your teeth feel loose or rotten? Despite appearances, it has nothing to do with your dental hygiene. The subconscious often communicates through metaphors and idioms, explains Becker. Losing your teeth in a dream may indicate that your life has become too complex or harried – that you've bitten off more than you can chew.
3) Being Chased
Being chased by an angry mob in a dream is enough to wake you up in a cold sweat. Chase dreams could suggest you're feeling trapped in some facet of your daily life. Whether you're stuck in a dull job or a problematic relationship, in your dreams you are being chased because you've chosen flight instead of fight. By failing to confront your problems, you will have that pitchfork-wielding mob returning night after night.
2) Naked in Public
If clothes really do make the man, then being naked in public is an emasculating experience. Dreams of nudity could indicate vulnerability, says Becker. While the function of clothes is to cover us up and keep us warm, they also help to determine our role in society. Feelings of social anxiety, rather than that late-night ham sandwich, may be triggering this one.
1) Falling
Among the most common nightmares, dreams of falling could mean anxiousness or a loss of self-esteem, says Becker. They can also come about when someone has placed too-high expectations on themselves. To overcome your nightmares, try lucid dreaming, a practice in which you become aware that you are in a dream and then take control of it. In time, you can turn your freefall into a flight to the moon.
Which dream do you have most often?
When I was a kid I had a couple dreams about falling, but mine are usually complicated stories. I think my New Years resolution is to Keep a Dream Journal.

I have declared myself the Princess of Shop Vac's.
I grew up in Cole Harbour, and when I graduated from Cole Harbour High, I was all about moving away. Couldn't wait. Then a few short years later (after getting over home sickness)I could deal with being home, then, after that, I wanted to be back home. My parents live here and My sister, I have roots here. I missed Hurricane Juan, White Juan, and the craziness that came from both of those events, but I always kept close tabs on how my family was. I hated being away when BIG things were going on, not that I could help out too much, Im not handy, I can't cook, well maybe....a little, and I always felt like I should be home when these things went down.
About three weeks ago, my parents basement flooded for the first time, and I was here, I helped shop vac, and helped some more by taking more of my stuff out of their house (Mom always jokes that I've never REALLY moved out) But this weekend, the basement flooded twice more. The first was Saturday, and Mom was home by herself. I feel really great that Rob (hubby) and I were there for her. I feel like there is a point where children pay their parents back for all the trouble we cause. the second time the basement flooded was last night into this morning. Rob went to their house at 2am to help Dad deal with the water, and Im lucky to have a super boss who agreed to let me take today to help. With no sleep and water still coming in, I think Dad was happy to have the help, after all it's really hard to shop vac and take walls down by yourself. So today we ripped down walls that were still there from the first flood, and searched for the problem, while I was mostly on shopvac duty to keep water levels down, I was again relieved to be able to be there to help.
I believe that Im lucky to have parents who ALWAYS came to my rescue, weather it was cash I needed or a couch to crash on when I've been sick (Mom is THE BEST nurse EVAH) And now I feel grateful, and lucky to have the opportunity to help them out in return. My family is beyond important to me, and if you run into me at a station event, chances are My Mom wont be too far behind. She has become a HUGE supporter of The BOUNCE, and often calls me to give the details on what Frankie Hollywood and Ana talked about in the morning, though chances are I heard it too.
Im happy to be back home. Happy to be closer to them, and happy I can finally lend some sort of skill to a crises even if its vacuuming up water and emptying the shopvac all by myself.
So if you are fortunate to have parents who have your back 100%, don't forget to have theirs too. And if necessary, I can lent you my shopvac tiara.
Still think they should come in Pink though.
Oh and because today (December 6th) is my Birthday, I totally had Wendy's for Lunch. LOVE THE NEW FRIES! NO FOOLIN'

Whaaaaat! Anne Rice's Vamps coming back!!?
It's true, after the horror that was Queen of the Damned, it seems Anne has her heart set on re-vamping (haha) the Vampire Chronicles. Who would you cast to re-set the epic stories?? Anne wants Robert Downey Jr to play Lestat. Hmm, interesting. Lestat is supposed to be blond, I just hope they don't make him wear that silly wig that Stewart Townsend had to wear in Queen of the Damned. Haven't heard what story they will start with, but I do believe that Interview with a Vampire, shouldn't be touched. It was very well done in my opinion. Perhaps The Vampire Lestat should be the movie that kicks it off again.
As a refresher of the two movies that have already been done...here are the trailers
And Queen of the Damned
What story do you think they should pick??
What actors should play Anne's Vampires??
ANNNNNND!!!!
I want to welcome Wendy's on board My blog, Mel B's Blog is brought you by Wendy's Yaaaaaaaaaay.

Christina Perri - Jar Of Hearts
This may seem familiar, it was used on So You Think You Can Dance. Enjoy it.
So, Big Books for the last 12 Months.
If you have an avid reader on your Gift Giving list this year, I have a site for you to check out. I joined it a couple of months ago, and its a great way to get your next read ideas. All you need to do is find out what their book preference is. Is it Romance, biography, mystery, sci-fi, or one of the millions of other options. All you do is head over to
www.goodreads.com
You can search by genre and when you do, book shelves filled with books of that genre pop up. It's information over load the first couple of times you visit, but give it a chance. The books are reviewed by readers, and not based on sales, or other propaganda. Get a few titles and see what the availability is at the Book Store. really it's that easy. I know, giving books as a gift is risky what if they've already read the book?? easy, bring it up in conversation. As for their opinion and if they haven't read it, then Bobs your uncle, you have a gift.
Obviously the Millennium series by Stieg Larsson is BEYOND popular, and thanks to True Book, the Sookie Stackhouse series (True Blood is based on the books) by Charlaine Harris is super popular too.
You can click on this link http://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/2010 and it will tell you how many times a book has been "Shelved" which means the number of times someone earmarked by people on the site. It's a good resource for your book giving research.
